Transpersonal Counseling

Has A Deeply Profound Experience Changed How You Perceive Life And The Universe Itself?

Are you struggling to make sense of a mystical, religious, or spiritual experience and finding that no one—including you—can fully comprehend or explain it? Have you experienced something amazing that transcends normal space and time, but you worry you’ll sound crazy if you talk about it.

Has a brush with death made you conscious of emotions and aspects of life that you don’t quite know how to process?

Perhaps you are trying to enhance your spiritual abilities intentionally, but you don’t know where to start. Or maybe you are growing more telepathic, clairvoyant, or psychic through little effort of your own and you want help understanding these gifts.

Spiritually Transformative Experiences (STE) Can Be A Blessing

However, we live in a pretty harsh world that makes it difficult to cultivate, navigate, and understand these encounters with other realms. Plus, it can be especially jarring returning from a place filled with unconditional love, joy, and a sense of belonging. Some individuals even experience difficult life changes, such as the death of a loved one, that awaken powerful, yet problematic abilities.

For instance, you may have increased psychic ability, a greater healing capacity, and a strange electromagnetic effect on everyday things—from computers to wristwatches. You’re likely more creative, compassionate, and spiritually connected. And yet, you may be having trouble in your relationships or worry that you’re going nuts!

I know things may seem crazy right now, but you have been given a wonderful opportunity—and I sincerely believe that my approach to transpersonal counseling can help you understand, honor, and make the most of your experience.

More People Than You Realize Share A Similar Story

Because there are many types of transpersonal and spiritually transformative experiences, they happen more often than you probably think. Some STEs are spurred by religious rebirths, spiritual awakenings, or kundalini meditations. Others are manifested through altered states of consciousness, extraordinary life events, and even trauma.

In fact, near-death experiences are often huge precursors to STEs. And because there are support groups for many of these transformative encounters, you know they must be common.

Unfortunately, We Live In A World That Appears To Be Growing More Jaded, Disconnected, And Materialistic Every Day

This can make it incredibly difficult to foster a spiritual awakening, manage enhanced abilities, and re-adjust to life once you come back from an STE. Having no one to talk to—no way of communicating the depth of your experience can create an overwhelming sense of loneliness and anxiety. And if you’re surrounded by people who don’t understand what you’ve gone through or the person you’ve become, you can end up stuck in your own head, questioning yourself.

Tarot card readers, psychic mediums, and certain podcasts can offer you short-term comfort. However, as a trained professional who truly understands STEs, I want to be someone you can talk to who will listen and help you process this very out-of-the-ordinary situation.

Together, we’ll discover meaning in your experience, re-examine what you believe, and find creative ways of managing any new or heightened abilities in your life.

Transpersonal Counseling Helps You Grow Into Your New Self

Usually, when people tell others about what they’re going through or are trying to achieve, they’re given a sideways look—as if they’ve gone bananas. Most people simply can’t understand how incredible these experiences are.

Working with a transpersonal therapist gives you a chance to really feel validated and heard as you share a story that you may not even have words for. It allows you to process and make sense of what happened—or what may still be happening—while learning how to navigate the aftereffects.

Whether you’re attempting to grow your spiritual abilities or navigate an STE, I promise to meet you with compassion and unconditional positive regard in a space free of judgment. Together, we’ll create tailored strategies to help you feel grounded, regulate emotions, navigate your new experience of life, and communicate in a kind, effective way—with yourself and others.

A Little More About My Transpersonal Counseling Sessions

Feeling heard and understood as you discuss your goals or share your story is extremely important, but you can’t do that unless you feel safe. So from the outset of therapy, I’ll strive to help you feel comfortable and supported while equipping you with the skills to manage any distressing emotions that may arise along the way.

In order to save time in our first session, I’ll have you fill out an assessment online that will give me an overview of you and your situation. From there, we can begin meeting weekly for 45 to 50 minutes—though, our initial session may run over a few minutes.

One of the first things we’ll explore is the experience itself—if you’re comfortable with that—and how you have been navigating the aftereffects of your spiritually transformative experience. I want to see how you’ve been regulating your nervous system and identify what has and has not been working for you.

As our work progresses, we can move on to navigating relationships, collaborating on therapeutic goals, and mapping out choices that will allow you to make positive life changes.

About My Approach To Transpersonal Counseling

With clients who’ve had or are seeking a transpersonal or transformative spiritual experience, I utilize an “NDE” approach to counseling. Let me explain:

N means creating a Narrative of your story—inquiring, discovering, and knowing the name of your experience. It stands for normalizing and navigating life in the aftermath of a past or ongoing phenomenon.

D represents what I Do and Don’t Do—I’ll always be genuine, empathetic, and focused on you and your needs only. And I’ll never dismiss or diminish your experience—or discourage you from sharing your story.

E stands for Empowering, Encouraging, and Equipping you—It signifies your ability to collaborate with me and tap into your intrinsic creativity, strength, and wisdom to heal and harmonize with your new life.

My approach to transpersonal counseling often involves eclectic and fun treatment strategies, such as family systems therapy, matrix reimprinting, EFT Tapping, and other forms of Energy Psychology. However, the most important aspect of treatment is giving you a safe, supportive space to explore and find meaning in your experience while simultaneously equipping you to navigate everyday life.

I know from personal experience how confusing this world must feel to you right now—but you are not alone. And you are not crazy. There are others who’ve gone through similar experiences and have no idea how to process them. But there is a way to make sense of everything and realize the potential of this opportunity.

If you have a story that transcends the usual personal limits of space, time, or identity, I’d be honored and excited to support you on this journey of discovery together.

Perhaps You’re Considering Transpersonal Counseling, But You Still Have Some Concerns…

What if you think I am crazy like everyone else does?

I understand how frustrating it feels to be dismissed or, even worse, demonized for an experience because I have been there—and made it to the other side. So I am not here to judge or diminish you. Rather, I want to support you and show you that what you have gone through—or are still going through—is real.

If you truly want to understand and feel capable of navigating the landscape of your life, I encourage you to take a leap of faith and see what you can learn about yourself.

I’m afraid transpersonal counseling will work and I’ll have to up-end my whole life.

When it comes to therapy—transpersonal or otherwise—many people worry that they’ll have to make huge changes or abandon parts of their old life. The truth is, you’ve already had a life-altering experience, and it’s probably having an impact on everything from your career and relationships to your sense of purpose and meaning in life. Working with a professional is meant to teach you how to manage that change in a way that is calm, empowering, and ultimately controlled by you.

I worry about being in transpersonal therapy forever—and the cost it will entail.

Transpersonal counseling does require a certain commitment of time, money, and energy, so I understand your concern. However, therapy isn’t meant to last forever.

My job is to offer you perspective, awareness, and guidance for harnessing the power of your spiritual transformation so you can navigate each avenue of your new life with autonomy. And if you are genuinely inspired to understand and embrace your experience, therapy may require less time than you think.
